The Electric Star group opens a traditional boozer in Leyton.

The King Harold pub in Leyton has been given a new lease of life, giving local residents a new hangout that promises tasty food and booze with an added injection of personality. Renamed The Leyton Star, The Electric Star Group has followed in the footsteps of their previous ventures, taking on the pub and reincarnating it as a friendly gathering place, ideal for after work get togethers, with the help of Hackney-based artist Lady Ray who has renewed the interior with a mix classic and contemporary touches.

This latest addition will follow in the foodie footsteps of its predecessors by partnering with local street food operators on a menu of juicy burgers and unusual sides alongside a selection of wines, kegs, cask ales and lagers. A programme of monthly tasting sessions and cocktail masterclasses will feature as part of a fun-packed programme of events which includes Tuesday quizzes, DJ's, sports screenings and the return of Lucky Voice Karaoke.

In addition to the inside space, outside sees an expansive terrace including seating areas, including a raised section with 8 private heated cabanas and a small function space.

The Leyton Star is open now at 116 High Road, Leyton E15.
