Cockpit Arts, a creative business incubator for craft makers, is celebrating its 30th birthday with a succession of summer open studio events.
Supporting independent makers from initial inception through to fully-fledged businesses, Cockpit Arts is designed to nurture creative business talent. From onsite workspaces, business coaching and a series of business coaching the craft hub provides services that allow craft makers’ ideas to develop and flourish.
During June visitors will be invited to a series of open studios at Cockpit Arts Holborn and Deptford offices. Guest will gain a behind the scenes glimpse of how the company works as well as be able to meet 200 makers from a range of different industries, to network or gain valuable advice.
The open studios will also feature a photographic display of both present and past alumni, photographed by acclaimed photographer Alun Callendar, who shoots portraits and features for editorial, design and advertising clients. These specially commissioned photographs will showcase individual success stories and provide an insight into how each has developed and evolved.
